Charities meet runners – runners meet Charities!
I’ve noticed that on Twitter I follow a lot of good causes. I also follow a lot of runners and cyclists. I have decided to introduce you to each other!
We all know the frustration of wanting to enter one of the big events but getting the letter telling us we weren’t successful in the ballot. (Suddenly after my half marathon at the weekend I am over the moon not to have a place in London!).
So if you are a charity please feel free to send me a guest blog post, let us know what your charity does, what support you need, and what you can offer the runners (or cyclists or parachutists) and a link to your events page or contact information.
I don’t take the charity places as I am conscious that I would struggle to raise the relevant sponsorship, and know how expensive the places are for the charities to provide. I’d rather take pot luck in the ballot and leave the charity places to someone who can do it justice.
So, if you’re a runner looking for a place let us know in the comments below and we’ll try and match you up with a suitable charity, and if you’re a charity wanting to promote your charity places then get in touch.

Thank you so much and what a brilliant blog !
We make a life changing difference to children with disabilities and run the UK largest brain injury rehabilitation centre. Children come to the Trust to learn to walk or talk again after a car accident or sudden illness.
We have lots of places in runs this year : British 10k , Bupa 10k ,Great North , Great South, London Marathon and Brighton and Paris Marathon
We would love you to join our team whether you have own place or would like our place – we promise to support you every step of the way and you will be helping very special children around the UK
Look forward to hearing from you
